Guided Tour To The Asinara Park On 4 X 4 Off-Road Vehicles

Route

09.15 – Meeting point in the Tanca Manna Tourist Pier
09.30 – Departure with the boat Ausonia
10.00 – Arrival at Fornelli pier, located in the southern part of the island. Transfert of the group on vehicles (off-road vehicles, each one has a capacity of 7 seats) with geo-marine environmental guide, exclusive of the Park, to discover the island: the human traces and history, the delicate balance of the marine world with its organisms, wild animals and their traces. You will cover 25 km of cemented road towards Cala D’Oliva (A/R) and a dirt road in the southern part to spot water birds, mouflons, horses and donkeys. Along the way you will make stops in the most important places of the island, from a historical and naturalistic point of view.
10.15 – Dirt track in the southern part of the island.
10.45 – Stop outside the Maximum Security Prison in Fornelli (the interior can no longer be visited since 2017).
11.15 – Panoramic viewpoint of Cala Sant’Andrea, a total protected marine area, forbidden to visitors due to its significant naturalistic interest.
11.45 – Punta Sa Nave, western coast of remarkable importance for the presence of the paleoendemism Centaurea Horrida.
12.00 – Ossuary, external visit of the structure.
12.15 – Campu Perdu, stop to admire up close the characteristic white and grey donkeys and horses.
13.00 – Cala Reale, visit to the external ruins of the former Maritime Sanitaryl Station. Lunch break at your own expense.
13.15 – Departure from Cala Reale
14.00 – Cala D’Oliva, crossing of the uninhabited village and visit of the Former Central Branch, nowadays Memory Observatory
14.50 – Cala Sabina, route along a dirt road to reach Cala Sabina, the most beautiful bathing beach inside the Park
16.00 – Departure to return from Cala Sabina to Fornelli
16.30 – Return to Stintino

In order to spend a pleasant day, without any problems, we recommend that you bring your own medicines with you in case you need first medical care during the tour.

For our tours we advise you to dress in layers, so that you can comfortably cover up and loosen clothing according to your perceptions of heat and coolness.

In order to respect the environment, we do not use plastic bottles; we prefer recycled materials that help protect the environment where we live.

Even in high season

Even in peak season, in the hottest periods, such as July, August and September, the turnout in the Asinara National Park exceeds by far the number of places usually available.

For this reason we always recommend booking in advance. Make your dream come true.
